African dream root (Silene Capensis) is indigenous to the green river valleys of the eastern cape province of South Africa, this obscure flowering species, Silene Capensis (African dream root), is regarded by Xhosa diviners as a sacred plant with the ability to induce remarkably vivid and prophetic dreams. Silene capensis is easily grow if given sunlight and watered frequently. S capensis is a moisture hungry herb but can be tolerant of extreme heat and moderate cold moisture retentive seedbed is essential. The flowers open at night and close in the day. It acts a biennial to short lived perennial and the root can be harvested after the second year. The plant you will receive is about 8 months old.
